Continue to crush your goals

Goal

To achieve great success we need to continue on passing our goals. Only when we do this we can continue to get better.

At first we set minor goals that are very achievable. After the goals become too easy you have multiple options. The first is that you set one big goal. This one will seem impossible to obtain if you look at it. However once you have chosen you can set stepping stones along the way. The second option is to set multiple goals at the same time. This has the benefit that you can do minor work on all of them every single day. This will instill great habits and allow you to continue inch by inch on multiple goals at the same time.

One way to keep momentum going is to have constantly greater goals – Michael Korda

Another possibility to have the last two combined. Have small goals at the same time and have a large goal. The benefit remains the same, you can work on all of them at once and it is the large goal that will remain with you the longest. A good example is attempting to learn multiple languages to a decent level. But focus on the most important language to get it to a proficiency level. This will be your big goals, but at the same time you can add in some other languages in your free time.

The last think you can look at while setting goals is to see what your previous goals. You can set a new goal depending on what you have achieved. To build further on the language goal, you could first want to achieve a certain feeling for the language. Next you could go and find someone to type or talk to them in the language. Next up you can find a job where knowledge in the language is a plus. As last you can end up finding a job only in the desired language or even move abroad. This shows how you can keep moving forward on the same goal.

If you look at your previous goals you can build on them and achieve great things thanks to what you have achieved. At first you might not have thought about the end goal, but you can create a new path for yourself while improving.
