Sleeping during stressfull times

Having problems falling asleep?

Getting a good night’s rest is so important for our body and mind. It helps us recover from a busy day and prepares us for what comes our way the next day. Seeing all the hours of the clock passing is very frustrating.

Creating a good night sleep does not start the moment you decide to go to bed. The evenings that we only think about when we go to bed is those nights that turn out to be the worse ones. When you know you will be stressed about your tasks tomorrow, be prepared.

The easiest and healthiest tip is taking care of your body. Give your body a good sweat 2 hours before going to bed and refill your body with a healthy meal. Your body will work perfect and your mind will be able to relax.

Other things that can help wonders are take a cosy shower an hour to 30 mins before going to bed. Especially usefull after that great workout! If you know you will be really stressed out about tomorrow try some meditation right before going to bed. Give your mind a chance either to wander freely or by keeping it in check. There is not one way of meditation that everyone needs to follow. Do as you please, it is your body and mind, do what feels best for you.

Consciously being aware of potential problems beforehand can make your night a lot less stressy. Don’t wait for the moment that you lay down to think about tomorrow. Think before going to bed, so that you are free when you go to sleep. Even better if you are able to do it, don’t think about tomorrow yet. Keep your head cool and know that no man is overboard. Having an exam, going on a jobinterview, there is nothing you can’t beat. Think about it this way: As long as you show up, you are already halfway there.
