Not everyone thinks about what habits they have, nobody goes without them. Some habits give plenty of advantages and other detract from them. For example if you have an addiction you spend way too much time on it, you will have not enough time to spend on the good things in life.
That addictions become an habit is very obvious. Because you can’t go without them you are constantly thinking about them and doing them. This can also turn into a benefit for you. If you are prone to addictions make sure you get addicted to something positive. For example being addicted to working out is something that will rarely turn bad for you. Yes, if you workout intensily for 3 hours a day, 7 days a week it will become an hindrance, you will get injured. Getting injured is a part of the game, if you are addicted to working out it will happen sooner and more often, yet you will learn many things about working out which will help you.
Your net worth to the world is usually determined by what remains after your bad habits are subtracted from your good ones. – Benjamin Franklin
If we want to know if someone has a positive imput in our life our in society you look at the things they bring to the table the positive and negative. The best example for this is how important you are to your boss. Everything is being taken in consideration from arriving late, working longer hours, being efficient, response of your clients and doing activities that no other employee can do. The more plusses are behind your name the harder it is to replace and the better your salary can be. To increase the chance of your boss agreeing on a raise of your salary make sure to reduce your negative effects on the business and make your money a lot of money.
To become a more positive effect on everyone else the main place of improvement is in your habits. Going out for a drink with your friends doesn’t harm anyone. However Doing it every weekend 2 days in a row untill the early hours may be negatively impacting your life and the people around you. Going all out and changing everything at the same time is not the way to go. Determine what you want to get rid off and which habits you want to create. Slowly tackle them one by one. Neither do habits have to happen every single day for the rest of your day. It’s acceptable to have a rest day from them and even take a complete break when going on holiday.
