The struggles of the migration crisis

migration
How can we solve it?

In light of last week’s international day against racial discrimination, let us delve deeper into the current migration crisis. Our ancestors have fought for obtaining a safe and happy environment for us. The western society has received a peacefull time without any wars. Why wouldn’t we share this peacefull society with the people around us?

In the past migration has brought us benefits that we have forgotten.  In the post-war era migrants helped rebuilding economies. It helped reducing the cost of labor needed for the recovery. When certain unpleasant jobs needed filling, migration helped solving the gap.

If you want to decide the question of migration without asking your citizens against the will of the people, you are fighting a losing battle. Viktor Orban

No matter how much migration has taken place, we still see minor benefits, aslong as we are willing to open our eyes to see them. Living with different nationalities help us to widen our view versus what we think we know. People from different nationalities have a different way of looking at things and habits. When we are kind to others we reap the benefits that can’t be put in words.

However seeing the quantities of migration these days we can’t tell ourselves that we purely benefit from it. Remain positive and friendly to everyone and see what it does to the society in the future. The person that you been friendly to, might just help your children or your elderly when they are in a situation of need.

Unfortunately there is not a single solution for the migration crisis. Political decisions alone will not fix the problem. To be able to actually find a solution the decision needs to be carried by the majority of the citizens. Support attempts of politicians showing courage to fix the problem.
