Don’t mislead yourself or you will get hurt

Are you misleading yourself or do you know how things are going?

Difficulties in life happen more often then we would want. When a problem arises we lie to ourselves and we pretend we are doing better than we actually are;

An example of a problem arising is because of all the partying your finances aren’t stable and your health may suffer from the unhealthy habits and the mental problems that come financial problems. Finances aren’t difficult if you dare to take a close look to them. If you fool yourself by saying: “I don’t know why my finances are bad, I’m doing everything correct”, you will never solve the problems. From the moment you notice your finances aren’t what you would want them to be take a close look at what comes in and what goes out, if needed contact a financial advisor. The same thing goes for your health, if you are having problems due to overweight something isn’t right. Some ilnesses or pills you have to take may influence your weight. Still when this happens to you there are options to improve your health. Ask your doctor for tips that will not negatively impact your health issues.

The first principle is that you must not fool yourself and you are the easiest person to fool. – Richard P. Feynman

Health is a component of life that we often lie to ourselves. I don’t eat so unhealthy, while in the week when we don’t have time we order some fast food, on Friday we go eating out with our family and in the weekends we enjoy ourselves with friends. If you know your health is suffering from your decisions don’t make it worse by lying to others and especially to yourself. Be honest and consider what you are doing wrong and what can be improved on without a big impact on your mental health. Find a type of movement that you enjoy and implement healthy food options that preferably don’t take a lot of time or many sacrifices. If you like that burger once in a while don’t punish you by never ever eating it again. Reducing how often you eat it will already help you. As long as you are honest with yourself and the person that is helping you there are ways to get out of your current situation.

When we fool others with lies we are feeling better ourselves. While you may not even be succeeding in fooling them you are defintely not succeeding in fooling yourself. Deep down you know it’s not true what you are saying. The sooner you step away from the lies the sooner you can take your life back and improve. Instead of making your situation worse you can start taking decision to improve your life slowly. You aren’t required to become healthy within a month. Rather as long as you are taking steps towards a healthier lifestyle and you stop lying to yourself you will feel better. The longer you succeed at this the more you are improving and the easier a next improvement will be. Be honest to yourself, preferably also to others, and see your life get back on the rails.
