Due to the pandemic there have been travelling restrictions and if travel was possible there were requirement to fulfill. Did the situation in your country change back to the old normal?
The photo above is taken in the country where I live, Belgium. Instead of going abroad and travel huge distances you are also able to take your vacation in the country you are living. Your own country has plenty of beautifull places that you have probably never seen in person yet. Keeping your travelling a shorter distance will both be good for the environment and for your finances. Besides that you will be able to get to know your own country better. Instead of fleeing your daily life by going on vacation far away you can just take a break rather close.

Depending on how your daily life looks like and how your vacations look like you may want to switch things up once in a while. If you are used to doing short travels you might want to go a bit further once and if you travel far all the time you might wanna give it a go to look for some travel opportunities in your country. You never know where something beautifull lies just around the corner. Google maps is a blessing in order to find gems of nature. When you see that you can’t view the streets with images you might find a wilderness that hasn’t been interrupted with by other humans.
A last reason to consider travelling in your own country is what is happening in different countries. An example many people like to travel to Croatia, Spain, Italy and so on. If you have followed the media frequently the last few months you hear a lot of natural disasters happening everywhere on earth. If your country is being spared from these disasters you may want to consider yourself lucky and start looking for a place to rest in your country. Besides natural disasters there is also the possibility of war in your own, or in a different country. If you are in your own country when war breaks out you at least speak the language.
