The beautifull outdoors

All the measures taken for the pandemic has forced us to stay inside a long time. During an entire year we either had to stay home or not going out too often. Despite the measures there were some opportunities to get to know our (outdoor) environment. Experimenting with new places to hike and new views to look at.

For some of us winter is almost over, for others it has just become. Almost no one prefers the ice cold weather but we can make the best of it. There are a couple of advantages that the cold weather has. For one a lot of people stay home, so you have the awesome nature for yourself. While the cold arrives more diseases arrive and getting widespread. One of the reasons to get out is to prevent getting ill staying inside with everyone else.

There’s no such thing as bad weather, just soft people. – Bill Bowerman

What might look like bad weather for you is the best weather for someone else. While you may dislike snow because of the traffic jams it causes, it is great for kids to enjoy and for some professional sports. Rainy days are not always fun to go through, but it can be good for your garden. While some people will never go outside when it rains it can be fun and relaxing to hear the constant sound of a mildly rainy day. Some hate colder days other prefer it. It causes less people to be out and when going for a run on a cold day you will be burning more calories.

How you define “bad weather” is really up to you. As you can read above there are many different views on the same. What your thought was about a certain weather may also change after some time. Whether you like a certain period of the year you should give it a go and spend some time in it. Cold weather is something that many people avoid. As mentioned above it improves your calorie burn, but at the same time when you build up the time going outside your immune system will improve. Aslong as you haven’t stayed inside for 3 months and then remain outside for an entire day you will be fine.

Challenge your body and your mind by trying out something new. Open your view on the world by looking at it in different stages in the year.
