Hapiness

What do you enjoy in life?

Everyone can become happy, what you have to do to get there depends on what you like and what makes you happy.

In the past making money didn’t make you happy. Last years having money seems to be equal to being happy. However it’s not the money that brings it, being certain that you have financial freedom and safety allows you to spend time on what you like the most. Consider having worked hard for many years and finally having time for enjoying with your family.

Now and then it’s good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy. – Guillaume Apollinaire

Becoming happy can be as easy or as difficult as you want to make it. Some think it’s crucial to become rich, others want their family to be happy and some want everyone to be as healthy as they can be. Chasing the happy life can be more of a pain than a blessing. Some set their eyes on a car within a certain price range. When they have achieved it there is some pleasure in it. But it soon only gives a marginal level of hapiness, especially considering that the car could be gone very quickly due to the costs and the risks involved.

When achieving a certain goal would make you happy the mere activity of taking steps toward it should already bring you pleasure. For example if becoming healthy is your goal you will notice some advantages while going for it. You will be able to run further, breath easier, be less tired, have more energy and so on. The more you enjoy the route towards your goal the easier it is to obtain it. A different way of becoming happy is to take a break during your route to happiness to notice what you have and what there is to be happy about. For example becoming completely financially free, not having to work anymore is great. Yet when you have saved enough money to feel a bit more comfortable that should already give you a relaxed feeling to be happy with your situation.
