Avoid remaining angry

People do activities that could lead you into becoming angry at them. It’s easy to lose your temper and to become angry of it. But what do you receive by being angry?

One of the situations that we often get angry is when we are driving. It seems that every single morning when we are driving to our work everyone is out to get us. From the person slaming their brakes in front of us, the car that cuts in front of us or the person trying to merge right into your car. Most of these situations aren’t caused on purpose. Even if they would be caused on purpose what does it help to get angry? Becoming angry will only worsen the situation for yourself. You are not going to get away any quicker, it isn’t going to calm the other person or yourself. At the same time you will feel even worse.

The next time you feel the anger coming up decide not to let the anger come out instantly. Instead of letting the anger show take 10 seconds to calm down. From the moment you become calm again you will feel better and you will have control over your life again. Solely being angry for a short amount of time doesn’t seem all that important. However think about the last time you got angry, did it help? Also being angry makes sures that you lose control completely. For example if the person you are trying to help messes up you can become angry at them. While it may seem to relieve you at the first instance, the person who suffers from your anger will perform even worse.

Having negative emotions will promote a negative mindset. When you have a negative mindset you are forcing a negative situation on you. So if you become angry for something you will have more negative situations. The reverse also works. If you are avoiding the negativity, if you are avoiding to become angry you can feel the positive vibe. Because of this positive vibe you will have more positive situation that approach you. The more peace you can create in your life the easier you will hold the peace close to you and the further the anger will stay away from you.
