Long ago our lifes where simple. The only thing we needed to do was protect our family and make sure we gathered enough food to survive. Not saying that life was easy back in the day because protecting your family against animals could surily be hard.

What are the hardship of our current lifestyle? We mostly don’t witness any dangerous animals anymore, except for the occasional poisionos snake or spider. this doesn’t mean that life isn’t stressfull anymore. Our daily life requires us to continously feel under pressure. It goes from social media requiring you to do certain activities to having to perform at your job every hour of the day, and sometimes even after the hours.

Pressure doesn’t seem like something that can cause any good things to appear. However the better you handle pressure the more benefits you can obtain from them. How well do you cope with stress?

The best way to be able to handle stress easier is by looking for your comfort-zone and to cross that line frequently. The further you enlarge your comfort-zone the easier you can do new things that seem daunting for others. For example how often do you speak to people you are not familiar with? if you never do it, it will never become easier. You can compare it with learning to ride a bike or a car. It is not easy, but the more experience you get in it the better you will get at it.

Let’s look at a different example. Playing an instrument is difficult. Most people playing instrument for years will agree that playing the instrument isn’t so hard anymore, it is playing in front of friends of family that is difficult. The only way to improve on it is by, you guessed it correctly, playing for them. Once you are comfortable making mistakes in front of them while playing the music the less stressed you will become. This will also help you in any other field of your life.

Watever difficult activity you are learning to do right now, don’t give up! In no time you will feel perfectly fine doing the thing you once dreaded to do.
