Succes or failure?

success failure
Success and failure lay very close together

Failure can cause you to strive for success, at the same time success can also lead you to failure. Despite it may not seem like it, but success and failure are very closely related. Adding that little bit more of effort can turn a potential failure into a success.

When something didn’t work out as planned, figure out what you should have done instead and how to avoid failure in the future. If you ask succesfull peoplee what drove them to reach for the stars, it’s often the failure they had to get over that made them use everything they have to achieve greatness. A great example for this is Dave Ramsey. He reached millionaire status at 26, went broke and got back on his feet. Looking at a millionaire it’s easy to accuse them for being a scammer, having made their money by a heritage or of being lucky. The truth is there are many people out there have not only worked hard, but also saved and invested their income so that someday they can get anything their heart desires.

Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can’t lose. – Bill Gates

Success helps us to see how the end goal should look like. However the problem with this is that it attracts us to be satisfied and to get out of controle to erase the benefits obtained. For example having finally obtained a nice diploma, which you never thought you could achieve, doesn’t guarantee you to complete anything on the workfloor. If you settle for your current job and income before you know it you will be rusted. Your former schoolmates no matter the grade they had or even if they gave up on their diploma can rush ahead of you by constantly improving themselves.

Being smart helps you out a lot. But only if you act careful and think twice about settling for your current situation. It can be as small as your competitor casually learning an extra language that can be used in your workfield. It will not come to play in the first years, but only after a couple of years of hard work on the part of others. Only then the difference in input will be clear. Don’t fall in the trap of staying stationary for too long. Look for ways to improve and strive for the best you can.
