Use your time efficiently

Avoiding to waste your time is great. But to turn it up a notch you should not only focus on doing usefull things but also to be efficient doing them. For example you can work out for 2 hours each day or you could choose to make it more efficient and work out for only an hour or even for 45 minutes. The best training you will ever have is the quick 30 minute workout where you attempt to put in just as much as you would in an hour long workout.

Becoming efficient will happen rapidly if you learn to close yourself off from distractions. The only way you can do this is by finding out what are your main distractions so you are aware of them to manage them and attempt to get them out of your mind. One of those is scrolling through social media. It is an easy distraction to spot, but a lot harder to get rid off. Removing your social media is a possibility, but not preferable for everyone. Reducing the amount you spend on it slowly bit by bit will help you improve your efficiency.

There’s nothing efficient about innovation. – Simon Sinek

Like with anything desirable it is not easy to become truly efficient. The benefit you have for striving for it is that every bit of efficiency you obtain the more time you win. Each bit of time that you win you will be able to use for becoming efficient on something else. Luckily efficiency is not everything and can be implemented slowly. One of the times where you can’t be efficient is when you are learning something new. The most efficient will be to just start it, not trying to find the quickest option. Imagine being efficient learning a new language.

You simply can’t constantly be doing the best methods. Finding some way to enjoy yourself learning it is better than solely looking for the quickest method. Sometimes just jumping on the task is the smarter thing to do than looking for the quickest way. One of those is trying to find the perfect job to do. You can shoot for the best opportunity ever but will take a long time finding it. So why not look for  a decent one to start with and continue to search for the perfect one later on while building up experience?
