Are you focussing so much on the here and now that you forget to also include the person that you will become if you continue the path you are on right now?
No one is able to become successful by just performing some work for a year. We are responsable for the person that we are now. But the habits that you implement in your life right now will determine who you will become in several years. You are not only the person you have become today but you are also the result that you will achieve in 5 years. This means that you are responsable for the person that you will turn into depending on your current habits. If you run every day right now you are becoming a runner. If you pay attention to put money towards investing you will become an investor.
Comparison is an act of violence against the self. – Iyanla Vanzant
Anything you want to achieve is possible if you set yourself up for it, create habits that will turn you into the person you want to become. Do the things someone would do that has already achieved what you want to become. For example if you want to be a paid athlete you’ll have to live like one. Eat healthy, focus a lot on your sport, avoid the unhealthy food as often as possible, get enough sleep, stay consistent. One last thing you have to do is sacrifice things that others aren’t willing to sacrifice. Sacrifice what others do will help you to achieve your goals.
Comparing ourselves to others often harms us more than it helps us. Especially if you compare your current self to the end goal that someone else has achieved. Instead of comparing the person you should compare the habits you have and what the other person has. Because this comparison is more honest and this is what will determine who would come out on top. Comparing is not necessary at all but if you do then the comparison should be honest. Don’t look on the person but at the habits. The person with the best habits who maintains them for the longest will get the best results.
